Role: Head of Development, Research Network
Lead development and scaling of the Edgeryders Research Network: open research and collective intelligence for stakeholder consultation, policy advice and social impact. Secured 1.3million EUR in funding in first 9 months of work through the coordination of eight proposals to the European Research and Innovation Horizon 2020 programme and one to the UN Democracy Fund. Was Edgeryders lead on proposals and launched Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Action – POPREBEL on addressing populism and boosting democratic engagement, and Coordination and Support Action – NGI Forward on stakeholder consultation and sector building for a citizen-led next generation internet. Also contributed to partnership development for the OpenVillage pilot funded by the World Bank MENA Innovation Unit to co-create a self-sustaining R&D ecosystem for next generation social innovation and political renewal. Facilitated co-design and visioning sessions at the Social Innovation Camp Medenine and was an informal mentor to participants of OpenVillage.
